Looking Back at The Road So Far For Pricefx in 2019

Pricefx was built on the principle of making pricing software that gives customers a powerful pricing engine that can help them to achieve their goals. A technology that is accessible and not weighed down by clunky technology.

Let’s take a look back at 2019 to see how nine years later, we are continuing to deliver on that promise to over 100 customers across 37 countries.

January

We hosted our 8th Annual All Hands meeting in Prague, the home of our Competence Center. Pricefx-ers from all around the world met to plan and align on goals for the upcoming year. Because of our remote working policies and rapid growth, the All Hands presents an opportunity for us to meet with each other face to face. Disembodied voices from weekly calls are finally given shape. This is perhaps one of the reasons that the All Hands event for a lot of employees is made even more memorable.

February

In February, we announced the addition of our first-ever Chief Marketing Officer, Patrick J. Moorhead. Patrick came from a SaaS and marketing background which made him the perfect candidate to lead and grow the fledgling marketing team. His first order of business? To re-imagine and launch the Pricefx brand so that it truly reflects who we are while acting as a true north for future expansion. More on the branding later. Almost a year on, he is still with us – so, glad we didn’t scare him off.

March

In March, we were included in the Gartner Market Guide for B2B Price Optimization. Potential customers are given a chance to learn more about the business benefits we can deliver to their organization. In this guide, we were named among other software companies with decades of experience. Not bad for a young company.

April

April saw a jump in the evolution of how our software operated. Through QuoteConfigurator, our Configure Price Quote (CPQ) solution could integrate with enterprise-grade CRM solutions including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and SAP Cloud for Customer. This integration is a game-changer for users who can now integrate CPQ functionality into their CRM processes. The plug and play featureliminates the need for custom development without abandoning seamless inline quoting capabilities.

May

May was a busy month for us. We announced the evolution of our software to an Enterprise Grade Platform, unifying our integration and connectivity capabilities. We held Accelerate Berlin, our user conference for the EMEA region. The event was like no other. Customers, partners, and employees had a chance to race around a track with Top Gear Legend, Ben Collins, aka The Stig. It was also an opportunity for users to network with pricing professionals and learn more about our suite of products. Altogether an exhilarating experience for all involved.

Remember Patrick’s task to relaunch the Pricefx brand? Well, that also happened at Accelerate. Attendees got a chance to see the new brand in action and the announcement of our values: Fast, Flexible, and Friendly. These values weren’t one that we chose but those that our customers and partners used to describe us. It just so happened that we also agreed. If you’re curious for a visual reminder of the shift from the old brand, hop over to the Wayback Machine to see just how much has changed.

June

The end of Q2 marked stupendous growth for us. We added 12 new customers to our roster of impressive customers across several sectors. We also achieved an impressive 134% year-on-year growth. Patrick Adams, our CRO, yes, we have more than one Patrick, couldn’t have said it better when he explained what this growth means for us, “The metrics from Q2 highlight our ability to capture market share from pre-Internet providers who can’t offer the rapid time to value and low total cost of ownership delivered by our industry leading platform.”

July

In July, we were named in the Gartner Hype Cycle for CRM Sales Tech, won the Customer Sales and Service Award and were shortlisted for the SaaS Awards. All these recognitions are a testament to our dedicated teams – from engineering, customer, HR, finance, commercial teams – ecosystem and, of course, strong leadership.

August

One of our goals was to continue to grow in the US, and the expansions of the Chicago office signaled that we totally smashed that oneCheck out the video below to see how Pricefx celebrates.

September

September was also a busy month for us. We achieved SAP® goldlevel status for PartnerEdge® Build. We were the first independent software vendor to achieve this level – a testament to the demand for cloud pricing solutions. We won a gold SAMMY for Enterprise Product of the Year – Sales Software. The SAMMYs are given to companies that help, “solve the challenges companies have connecting and collaborating with prospects and customers. Our customers and prospects mean a lot to us and we are proud of our collaborative approach to helping them solve their problems.

September also saw us hold the Americas arm of our user conference in Chicago. Attendees had a chance to hear from industry leaders and practitioners on the future of pricing.

We also welcomed Joe Golemba, VP Ecosystem & Partners in Alliance & Partners, to the Pricefx family. As we continue to grow, so will our ecosystem of partners. Joe will lead that growth and later this year, he and his team will launch Pricefx Advantage, a partner program that will help us to continue to deliver pricing solutions at scale.

October

In October, we were included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for configure, price and quote application suites for the first time, showing that we really do put the capital “P” in cPq. You can access the report here https://go.pricefx.com/2019CPQ

November

We were awarded gold for the Enterprise Product of the Year for Sales Software. November also saw us reveal new features and a user interface, Unity. With Unity, users can expect an easier, consistent and more responsive experience. If you’d like to find out more, click on the connect now button on the side of the screen or interact with Fx, our friendly chatbot, to get you started.

What’s Next?

There’s #NoStoppinUs! This year, we will continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what pricing software is capable of while we continue to bring the best in pricing software to our customers.
