To ensure that each employee has access to career growth, our People team worked with senior managers across the organization to craft a comprehensive organizational competency framework to help Pricefx employees continually advance their careers.

Of course, there will be a lot of on-the-job training for you to help you tackle your everyday tasks and responsibilities. We understand that being proficient in your core tasks is crucial, as these will be your primary focus. However, we believe your career shouldn’t be limited to the boundaries of your job description. Creating a Career Growth Plan

To make it truly yours, you’ll begin by working through your job description alongside our competency framework to identify any areas to develop within your role. Considering aspirations for your career growth, you’ll create a draft career growth plan to share with your manager.

You’ll then invite your manager to have a career conversation, sharing your first draft and allowing them time to review and consider where they can best assist you to align your goals with those of Pricefx. The word “conversation” is meant literally – you won’t get a cookie-cutter set of career milestones. Through a dialogue with your manager, you’ll agree on the best direction for your professional growth.

To make the plan easier to stick to, you’ll define your unique development goal, specific steps you’ll take to achieve it, the support and resources required, as well as a timescale. Your manager will be there for you along the way, monitoring your progress and making sure your career plan runs smoothly.

Your career development will focus on three key areas to ensure an integrated approach: personal, professional, and industry-specific development.

Personal Development

While technical skills are very important, they should be built on a solid soft skills foundation. To help you strengthen it, you’ll choose from various personal development lessons. These lessons help you work effectively in a team, give and receive feedback, manage others, and handle your responsibilities with ease. Personal development is the way to make you feel confident no matter what the job role.

Professional Development

There is room for professional growth in every role at Pricefx, and we keep the doors open for you. There are always new tools, methods, or concepts for you to discover and level up your professional skillset. Continuous learning helps prevent stagnation or burnout while sparking your curiosity, giving you the chance to broaden your scope.

Industry-Specific Development

The pricing industry is a vast and constantly evolving landscape. We want our employees to have a deep understanding of the industry to better meet our customers’ needs. To ensure that employees have access to the best industry training, we support professional qualifications from the Professional Pricing Society for all employees who want to understand the industry and develop a clearer understanding of the firm’s direction.

By integrating these three areas, you will create a comprehensive career growth structure that advances your skillset. Of course, you will need time to make this happen and for that, you will get one working day each quarter to dedicate to your development. It's up to you and your manager to agree whether to use it all at once or spread your learning throughout the quarter.

Training Programs

To fulfill your career plan, you can choose from a wide array of online/live programs ranging from single-day to multi-day sessions or shorter, usually 60-minute webinars. They focus on communication by tackling topics like emotional intelligence, feedback, or leading effective meetings; leadership skills such as team and time management, and specific role-dependent professional qualifications. Plus, each office has a well-stocked library with development books available for loan to help you deepen your knowledge.

Mentorship and Coaching

The most efficient way to learn is often from each other directly on the job. Our mentorship program takes care of that. As a mentee, you’ll be paired with an in-house mentor who will guide you. We have continuous training for our mentorship pairs in order to help both parties get the best out of it. Coaching focuses on personalized guidance to help employees overcome obstacles and adapt to new challenges. Along with continuous management training, this tailored support ensures no one is left to navigate their career path alone.
