Pricefx’s 2025 Compensation Review: Closing Any Gap Found
Being fair is one of the core F-words, guiding values at Pricefx. Among others, it’s our compass for creating a work environment where everyone feels valued. That’s why in 2025, we’re taking a big step forward to ensure salary fairness throughout the entire company. Pricefx’s leadership has committed to closing any pay gaps discovered in our thorough analysis regardless of the employees’ role or gender to make sure everyone is paid fairly. Why? Because our people are our greatest asset, and they deserve our 100%. How are we planning to close the gap?
Getting Correct Data
In the dynamic tech industry, setting competitive pay levels can be challenging. Salary benchmarks can quickly become outdated, sometimes leading to wage inconsistencies across similar roles. Accurately (and fairly) leveling salaries was a complex task requiring precise data. To assess the salaries correctly, Pricefx’s compensation team adopted Pave, a platform that provides real-time, market-based compensation data for various roles. The “real-time” aspect is crucial here, as many platforms are based on old data and might not answer the rapid changes in the IT field.
By sorting roles into different brackets based on seniority, accountability, or merit, we created a detailed salary reevaluation for current employees and new hires. This analysis offered our compensation team a true data-based overview of the salary situation at Pricefx, forming the cornerstone of the fairness compensation program.
Two Main Gaps to Close
With this overview at hand, the compensation team established internal benchmarks for each role, creating a clear standard for equitable pay. If a discrepancy between someone’s salary and their position’s benchmark was found, Pricefx’s management is committed to closing any gaps to meet these benchmarks. This aligns with our mission to ensure zero underpaid employees in 2025.
Even prior to this analysis, Pricefx has consistently aimed to stay competitive within the higher market salary percentile. However, we take our people-centric approach seriously and we want our people to feel fairly compensated for their great work. So, if pay fairness has a number, we are ready to meet it.
Role-based salary differences weren’t our only focus, though. Our analysis also reviewed the gender pay gap that turned out to be approximately 3%. This is well below the industry average and significantly lower than the 16% average gender pay gap in Czechia, where our largest office is located. However, a low gap doesn’t mean no gap, and 3% is still above fair. In 2025, Pricefx closed it as well.
Individualized Pay Adjustments
Because salary situations differ for each individual, we’re making personalized pay adjustments. This approach ensures that each of our valued team members is compensated in line with current market standards. This way, any remaining differences based on role or gender are addressed.
EU Transparency Directive: Already Ready
Fortunately, transparency trends are also gaining momentum at the governmental level. By 2026, the pay transparency directive should set a new standard for ensuring “equal pay for equal work” across genders in all EU companies. The directive promotes salary transparency, requiring companies to address any pay gaps and granting employees access to relevant pay data in order to reinforce fairness and accountability across every workplace.
While some companies may find meeting this directive challenging, we were happy to see Pricefx is already in full compliance!
Commitment Beyond Compensation
EU policies aside, our compensation policy is one way Pricefx’s leadership demonstrates a commitment to taking good care of its people. Our roots have shaped our values, and they remain the same even as we’ve grown to several hundred team members. At Pricefx, we put our people first to show them how much we appreciate their hard work.
We’re well aware that achieving compensation equity goes beyond a single solution. That’s why our compensation team actively reviews and evaluate salaries on a regular basis to address any discrepancies that may arise.
Though there’s much more to Pricefx than compensation, every team member deserves fair pay for their contributions. We believe our compensation policy strengthens our culture and will help us close any remaining gaps for good. Join our team and experience the Pricefx fairness yourself!
