Getting the right data
In the dynamic tech industry, setting competitive pay levels can be challenging. Salary benchmarks can quickly become outdated, sometimes leading to wage inconsistencies across similar roles. Leveling salaries accurately and fairly was a complex task that required precise data. To assess salaries correctly, Pricefx’s compensation team adopted Pave, a platform that provides real-time, market-based compensation data for a wide range of roles. The real-time aspect is crucial here, because many platforms are based on old data and may not keep up with the rapid changes in the IT field.
By sorting roles into different brackets based on seniority, accountability, or merit, we created a detailed salary reevaluation for current employees and new hires. This analysis gave our compensation team a true, data-based overview of the salary situation at Pricefx, forming the cornerstone of the fairness compensation program.
Two main gaps to close
With this overview in hand, the compensation team established internal benchmarks for each role, creating a clear standard for equitable pay. If a discrepancy between someone’s salary and their position’sbenchmark was found, Pricefx’s management is committed to closing it to meet the benchmark. This aligns with our mission to ensure zero underpaid employees in 2025.
Even before this analysis, Pricefx has consistently aimed to stay competitive within the higher market salary percentile. But we take our people-centric approach seriously, and we want our people to feel fairly compensated for their great work. So if pay fairness has a number, we’re ready to meet it.

Role-based salary differences weren’t our only focus, though. Our analysis also reviewed the gender pay gap, which turned out to be approximately 3%. That’s well below the industry average and significantly lower than the 16% average gender pay gap in Czechia, where our largest office is located. But a low gap doesn’t mean no gap, and 3% is still above fair. In 2025, Pricefx closed it as well.
“We’re pleased our analysis showed a relatively low gender pay gap. But as soon as we saw the number, we thought: why not make it zero? With full support from Pricefx’s leadership, we’re excited to make that happen,” said Lenka Syrůčková, Director Reward & People Operations.
Individualized pay adjustments
Because salary situations differ for each individual, we’re making personalized pay adjustments. This approach ensures that each of our valued team members is compensated in line with current market standards, and that any remaining differences based on role or gender are addressed.
EU transparency directive: already ready
Helpfully, transparency trends are also gaining momentum at the governmental level. By 2026, the EU pay transparency directive should set a new standard for “equal pay for equal work” across genders in all EU companies. The directive promotes salary transparency, requiring companies to address any pay gaps and granting employees access to relevant pay data, reinforcing fairness and accountability across every workplace.
While some companies may find meeting this directive challenging, we were happy to see that Pricefx is already in full compliance.
Commitment beyond compensation
EU policies aside, our compensation policy is one way Pricefx’s leadership shows a commitment to taking good care of its people. Our roots have shaped our values, and they remain the same even as we’vegrown to several hundred team members. At Pricefx, we put our people first to show them how much we appreciate their hard work.
We’re well aware that achieving compensation equity goes beyond a single solution. That’s why our compensation team actively reviews and evaluates salaries on a regular basis to address any discrepancies that may arise.
As Lenka Syrůčková, Director Reward & People Operations, notes: “Setting salary fairness is not a one-time solution. We’re committed to constantly monitoring it to make sure there are no pay gaps even after two, five, or ten years.”
Though there’s much more to Pricefx than compensation, every team member deserves fair pay for their contributions. We believe our compensation policy strengthens our culture and will help us close any remaining gaps for good. Join our team and experience Pricefx fairness for yourself.
